Click to report rating    3/30/07   5     5     5     5   I have an older pickup truck purchased not long ago. It's been running a bit rough and acceleration was sluggish. I called Mark's to set up a tune up. From our conversation, he suggested to scope out the truck first and see what else could be going on before doing a tune up. Well, it turned out to be a vacuum leak which he fixed. Everything else looked okay and I didn't need that tune up afterall. Mark could have sold me on the tune up - new plugs, cap & rotor, etc, etc, but didn't. My truck is running much better now. I am a happy camper, but best of all I've found a mechanic I can confidently go to for future/regular service.  RID: 871

Click to report rating    3/4/07   5     5     5     5   I went in thinking my Aerostar needed a catalytic converter since it had low power and ran rough. Mark pointed out these vans have three catalytic converters and its not real likely theyre all failing and we should start with a diagnosis. After a test drive Mark said it felt more like a spark misfire than a plugged exhaust. After he scoped it he told us it needed a tune up and a coil. I let him do the work and it ran great. He could have sold me the three catalytic converters and then said..."Oh, you need a scope check to see whats really wrong." I see city vehicles there for service all the time too.  RID: 702
