I used Auto Tech for many years until recently. On the one hand they do a great job (though expensive). However, strange things have happened after my last few visits. One time, I noticed shortly after leaving that my windshield wiper blades were completely worn out (yet they had been less than a year old). Another time, I noticed a few days after that 2 of my tires were completely bald (I got all 4 brand new just 2 years earlier). I agree with the other reviewer: they insist on making repairs without your authorization and will not keep the parts to show them to you (they insist that *everyone* sign a "blanket" authorization form when they drop off their vehicle, so they're free to do whatever they want). The last straw was when they told me I needed over $2K in repairs recently. I went to the Subaru dealer in town and they said that most of the work was not needed and the final cost was less than half of the Auto Tech estimate. I'd be very careful when using Auto Tech. |

They will smile in your face as they reach around and try to steal your wallet. I went in for a routine brakejob after Acura was going to charge me $900 (which I thought was too high). Mike and the boys said they'd treat me better, gave the car a quick inspection and proceeded with the repairs before asking. They then quoted me $1100 for the same work the dealer had offered for 900... Forget about it. Look beyond their smiley, "family-run" business front, and you'll find a bunch of crooks. |
