Original quote: $750 for all repairs. Next day: learn that it would be $1100. Day it was supposed to be done: told it has a serious acceleration problem, with no obvious cause. We come in to drive it to see if it's a new problem, before paying the now $1250 bill. Bruce reluctantly drove with my husband around the block. It was clearly a new issue & it's now undriveable. Bruce claimed they did nothing that could have caused it. Everyone agreed the problem had occurred while the car was at the shop, but he did not take any responsibility. He said he would re-diagnose the car & fix the problem. If it turned out to be something they had done, there would be no charge for the repair, otherwise it was all on us. "Shit happens" was his explanation why our car was now undriveable after four days in his shop. Next day, we learned we would indeed be paying the $250 for the 2nd diagnostic & repair. We came back to the shop & asked for a second test drive to make sure it was fixed, Bruce refused! |
